Combing - Washing Trompe l'oeil - Marbling - Graining Sponging is used mainly on large wall areas this technique is probably the most popular way to create dual and multicolour broken colour effects. When used with subtle tones of glaze the sponging 'off' method creates a rolling, swirling cloud like effect. For more vivid schemes the sponging 'on' method employing one, two or more colours over the base can produce some very interesting results. Only natural sea sponges should be used to obtain the best finish etc. |
